• Alberta Forming Project, Kinosis

H.J. Baker Sulphur Canada ULC (H.J. Baker) is proposing to construct, own, and operate a new sulphur forming facility to serve the Alberta oil sands sulphur producers in Fort McMurray. The proposed plant is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of the Village of Anzac on Highway 881. The facility will be designed to receive liquid sulphur by truck, degass the sulphur, form the sulphur into a bulk solid form and then transport the formed sulphur into rail cars for delivery to Vancouver sulphur export terminals. This project will allow H.J. Baker to offer dual market access by providing ability to export formed solid sulphur from the proposed Kinosis facility to ports in Western Canada in addition to H.J. Baker’s current ability to export liquid sulphur from our existing Lynton facility to the United States.
